In his book, The Psychology of Selling, Brian Tracy wrote, “If your goal is not in writing, it’s not real. You’re probably afraid of it.” If you have a goal but don’t put that in writing, either you’re afraid of the work it’s going to take to get it done or you’re afraid of the result or the lack thereof. If we put all major goals in writing, growth appears to happen instantly. It’s because all of a sudden, we have to start doing what we say. The simple act of writing it and posting it forces us to walk through the week with a magnifying glass for ourselves and other people to see what we have committed to. It truly is that simple.
